Because the puppies come first!

The steps we take to protect the wellbeing and joy of every animal we work with — and how we lead the way in responsible, ethical puppy care.

At Little Paws Puppy Yoga, caring for our animals isn’t an add-on—it’s the core principle behind our entire approach. Our choices, whether it’s selecting trusted partners or planning how each class runs, always put the pups’ wellbeing first. All surfaces are cleaned with veterinary-grade disinfectant to maintain exceptional hygiene. Keep reading to see how we uphold our commitment to outstanding animal care.

Where do the animals come from?

Responsible Breeders

We collaborate only with trustworthy, high-standard dog breeders throughout Perth and nearby regions—professionals who uphold exceptional levels of animal welfare. We never work with backyard breeders, puppy farms, or anyone whose practices raise red flags. Every breeder is thoroughly assessed to ensure their puppies are raised in safe, healthy, and caring environments. Each event features puppies from a single litter only, so they can enjoy the experience without stress and without interacting with dogs outside their own household group.

Rescue Groups & Shelters

We’re also honoured to team up with remarkable rescue organisations across Australia. Through these partnerships, we help young rescue pups build confidence in a gentle, positive setting while also shining a light on the importance of adoption. Every snuggle, every session, and every joyful moment directly supports better futures for animals who need it most.

The Doggy Day to Day

At Little Paws, everything begins with what the animals need in the moment. If they’re feeling playful, we let them explore and have fun. If they’re tired, we provide plenty of soft bedding — or a willing lap — so they can curl up for a comfortable nap. Each pup chooses their own rhythm, and our job is simply to maintain a calm, secure environment where they can flourish.

Our spaces are kept impeccably clean, climate-controlled, and arranged with cushioned mats, enrichment toys, and clean water so the animals feel relaxed throughout the day. We build rest periods into the schedule between classes, giving them time to eat, unwind, and reset without interruption. This helps prevent overstimulation and allows every puppy to socialise at a pace that feels safe for them.

The outcome is a well-rounded day full of play, discovery, and downtime — leaving each little one happier, more self-assured, and better prepared for life in their new home.

And honestly… they love it. Some days, it’s hard to know whether the pups or the people are enjoying it more!
